An inspiring afternoon with reflections on how people part of the community of Nu De Toekomst learn from each other, with each other. With a lot of new insights for the students visiting as well.

Tour through Nu De Toekomst as a community learning space

Yesterday a group of 30 students from a course from the WUR (Nature Education and Learning for Sustainability) visited our community enterprise to engage in processes of community learning. They got a tour, heard the stories from people part of the initiative and discovered a delicious Japanese foods.

There were some wonderful reflections on learning within a community (enterprise):
*Being part of a community makes you humble, you start understanding that you can always support each other through sharing talents and stories.
*One form of knowledge is not more important than other forms. Academics can support communities with their knowledge, ánd students can learn a lot from community spaces and members.
*Even though people 'meet' each other in a vibrant place, at least a certain level of facilitation of knowledge and community building is required for valuable connections & exchanges.

If you are interested in learning about community economies or touring through our social enterprise - with a course, company or as a municipality actor - get in contact through info@nudetoekomst.nl

Thanks for your contribution @littlejapan.nl & @hotemetoot and all the other enthusiastic volunteers!
